The next update for rubra is planned for April 2024. Read here what the new update will contain.
PDF URLs
If you add a PDF URL to rubra at the moment, the application does not understand the content of the URL and it usually results in an incorrect display. It will now be possible to process PDF URLs. rubra tries to save the content of the PDF to create a description. The title is formed from the file name and a screenshot of the PDF is used for the image. If you use the rubra browser extension, you can easily add the PDF to rubra by right-clicking on it.
Image URLs
It will now also be possible to add image URLs to rubra. The file name is used as the title, the file type and the file size are shown in the description. If you use the rubra browser extension, you can easily add the Image to rubra by right-clicking on it.
Save entries in collections
If you are currently saving an entry in a collection, you will automatically be forwarded to this collection. This is annoying if you want to add several bookmarks. From the next release, you will no longer be automatically redirected to the collection. Instead, a message will appear in which collection the entry was saved. You can then click on the name of the collection to go there.
CSV support for imports
We have received some requests from rubra users that it would be good if the import function also supported the CSV format. With the new release, the import function will now also support CSV in addition to JSON, TXT and HTML.
Notification when an entry has been added to a collection
If you have shared a collection with other people and someone adds an entry to this collection, you will be informed by email.
Copy or move
At the moment you can only copy entries to collections. With the Capricorn release, you also have the option of moving entries to collections.
UX improvements
In addition to the new features, the UX will be improved in some areas.
Bug fixing
On top of that, some minor bugs will be fixed.
